December 26, 2019
Lets just say that 2019 didn’t exactly go according to plan. I had these hefty goals of eating clean, dropping lots of weight and getting my black belt.
In 2019, I did manage to lose some weight. At my lowest, I was 215. I was super good early in 2019, then had foot surgery and had to stop exercising. I however managed to lose weight when in the cast, most likely because I couldn’t make it to the fridge. I’m joking…well…mostly joking. I do attribute it to the fact that I was super careful about what I was putting in my mouth knowing that I would not be able to work it off through exercise…and it was way too much effort to make it to the fridge.
As I started to exercise slowly, my weight went up and down the remainder of the year. It’s amazing to me how truly focused I can be one day and completely off the rails the next. So irritating. Like what’s wrong with me? Why can’t I just focus and lose weight. Should be easy enough. But it’s not. It’s something that I continually struggle with.
So I’m going to set out with some new bite sized goals for 2020 (what? When the heck did that happen?) that will hopefully inspire me to continue on this journey of health. I have crappy genes and want to do everything within reason to make sure I live a long and healthy life.
